Eamonn’s men were out again on Friday v Ardee St Marys. In this top of the table clash, the Gers would snatch a draw with literally the last kick of the game. A goal despatched with considerable power from the boot of Conor McGowan after a goal mouth scramble left the side’s level on 1-6 apiece. We play Cooley on Friday night in what will be the main pitches opening match after all the work carried out last year. It would be great to get as many supporters out as possible out to cheer the team on and to have a look at the improvements made first hand. Throw in is at 8 pm, Friday 3rd May.
Our Senior Ladies continued their winning ways with a strong performance against St. Pats. Great effort and well done to all.

We are presently co-ordinating the Irish Heart Foundation to attend Club at a date to be confirmed, to provide their “Hands for Life” CPR Programme kindly sponsored by ESB Networks and Abbott.
To give you some background, the course takes one hour to complete. This community based CPR training is free and it concentrates on recognising cardiac arrest, making the 112 call, listening to the call taker and knowing your Eircode. Candidates then get to practice hands only compressions on a manikin and there is also a section on AED awareness, choking, child CPR, recognising stroke and the difference between a cardiac arrest and a heart attack. Please note that those who attend the training must be over 18 years.
When providing the free courses the IHF aim is to have 3 sessions per day in one location, with 30 attendees in each therefore at least 90 individuals can be trained.
Naomh Mairtin Plan to have a group of 30 interested (Coaches & Club volunteers) in the programme & then we want to extend this training to other community members & groups in the Parish to fill the next two sessions.
Please share this detail to Community Groups & message Club with regards to your interest & appointed Group co-ordinator.
