1. Club Maith questionnaire coming back gradually from Clubs. The Coaching information and the general underage element is been gathered by the County Coaching staff and they will forward this detail next week when their work is completed. The adjudicators will then visit chosen clubs for further assessment before finalising their decision. The results should be known for next County Board meeting.
2. The Gaeltacht Scholarship Assessment will take place next Saturday commencing 9am and continuing until completed. The successful candidates will be informed directly and results will be placed on the county website. This year more than eighty candidates have applied-the biggest number to date. Because of the numbers involved it has been decided to apportion the scholarships evenly between the under 14s and over with two full scholarships in each category and six half-scholarships. Coláiste Rann na Féirste has granted an additional €200 donation for another student.
3. The First Responder and Defibrillator Training Course will take place on Saturday 6th June. Details will be announced as soon as arrangements are in place. Last year the fee was €50 per person and lunch was included-I expect it will be somewhat similar this time also. Places will be limited so it I advisable to register early. Clubs may bring their own defibrillator for testing during the course.
4. The Leinster Safety Rep is anxious to follow up on the Safety Statement that clubs have been asked to produce pertaining to their own requirements. A date will be set for a return visit from Mick O’Toole as soon as clubs indicate that they have progressed in defining a suitable document based on the matrix already forwarded.
