Here is our New Louth GAA Scene – Each week we will keep you updated on the Club and County scene from the Wee County

Club Championships

Now with our Club Championships complete, our four club representatives go for provincial honours. In the Junior Hurling championship Knockbridge won their first round game v Maynooth 2-16 to 1-14 and will now play Kilkenny’s Dunnamaggin this Saturday. In the Junior Football Championship Dundalk Young Irelands travelled to The Downs club in Westmeath and came away with a fine win over Kilbeggan Shamrocks 1-9 to 0-9 and earned a home game v Annanough. In the Intermediate Football Championship St Mochtas beat Longwood from Meath after extra time in Ardee on a score line of 1-10 to 0-11. Mochtas now play Courtwood from Laois in the quarter final. Senior Champions Newtown Blues kick start their campaign on Sunday week with a home game v Eire Óg from Carlow.

Our Under 21 Club Competition starts this weekend and 17 teams will take part.

Annual Convention

The 2018 Louth GAA Annual Convention takes place on Tuesday December 11th in the Centre of Excellence Darver at 7.30pm.

GAA Season Ticket

The 2019 GAA Season tickets are now on sale and will once again provide fantastic value for supporters in next year’s league and championship. Adult ticket will cost €120 and U16’s €30. This will allow the ticket holder access to discounted tickets for the championship group stages in your code.

Sean O’Mahonys GFC

Our big Halloween Family Movie Night is on tomorrow, the bank holiday Monday, on the SOM pitch at 6pm. Admission €5 only, pay on the night at the gate, bring something to sit on, a seat, bean bag, etc. Looks like we are going to have a dry day, for the showing of Hocus Pocus, so hopefully we will have a large crowd, in their Halloween costumes. Burgers, Popcorn & soft drinks available and prizes for best dressed Boy and Girl.

St Kevins GAA

Win a House for €100. St Kevins are holding a house draw, draw will take place on Saturday June 1st 2019. Tickets on sale at www.winahouse.ie or any committee member

Newtown Blues

Join us for some spooky fun and games over Halloween at our GAA Camp. The camp will run Tues. 30th Oct & Wed. 31st Oct. 10-2pm.Cost €20 per child for boys and girls aged 6-13yrs.
The funds raised will go towards our juvenile teams for 2019.
Players need to bring packed lunch, water, & wear warm clothes, rain gear, football boots and gum shield.

No pre booking necessary but let us know if you are going here so we can get the coaches lined up.

St Nicholas

We have our Annual Flag Day on the town this Friday Nov 2nd. We will be all around the town at various locations. Any and all support is very welcome.
