Louth 7-19 Longford 4-4
Following last nights win over Lonford in Mullingar our Under 17 Hurlers now top Group F in the Celtic Challenge with one game remaining and are on course for a Quarter Final place.
With a number of players returning from injury and the loss of three players from the previous game the Louth boys went into the game in confident mood. In the opening 5 minutes of the game Louth hit the back of the Longford net three times. Playing some outstanding hurling and were ahead by 4-7 to 2-2 at the break. After the break Louth continued where they left off and the movement and work rate was outstanding from them.
After the game Louth mentor Mark Stephenson was delighted with the win and was very happy with the improvement week by week from the players.
Next up is another trip to Mullingar on June 6th to play Leitrim
