There was no jackpot winner in Naomh Fionnbarra G.F.C. and St. Anne’s Camogie Club Lotto draw held on Wednesday 20th June. The winning numbers were 7, 15, 23, & 27. Hard luck to the Louth Seniors last Saturday evening who were beaten by Leitrim in the second Round of the All Ireland Qualifiers on a scoreline of 0-25(25) to 1-12(15) win. Once again our own William Woods was chief scorer with a total of 1-7, playing at corner forward. Well done to Hugh Osborne who also came on as a substitute.
Féile Peile na nÓg is a national festival of Gaelic football for Boys & Girls under 14 years of age. It takes place next weekend Friday Jun 29th – Sun Jul 1st. You’ve seen the signs up in the local area. As final preparations for Féile Peile na nÓg 2018 continue, the bunting for the two local clubs and the visiting club colours are now flying at Páirc Uí Mhuirí in Dunleer. Naomh Fionnbarra and Lann Léire U14s will host Lámh Dhearg from Antrim. 💚💛🔵
Our Junior team had 3 games this week on Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday. The lads won 1 of the 3 games where at times it was a struggle to have 15 lads for each game for various reasons. One would have to question the wisdom of the CCC at fixing so many Junior games in such close proximity.
The lads were beaten by Dreadnots in Division 5 League on Tuesday evening at a sunny John Markey Park on a scoreline of 1-19(22) to 3-9(18)..
