A huge thanks to Cormac, Chris & the Mulroy family for their support. The team will wear it with pride and aim to fill the big boots that Jimmy left for them.
Féile Peile na nÓg Louth GAA Launch activities.
There was great excitement in Aston Village Educate Together National School as they welcomed Uachtarán CLG John Horan. He is out and about promoting the official launch of the 2018 Festival of Gaelic that we all know as the John West Féile Peile Na nÓg. The Louth launch takes place tonight in Dundalk.
We had many of our club members listening attentively to John as he quizzed the students on their knowledge of the GAA and this festival.
The competition runs from Fri. 29th June – Sun. 1st July and the Newtown Blues club has both an U14 girls and U14 Boys team taking part. We host clubs from Monaghan & Gloucestershire. The weekend will provide football to 288 teams (7,000 Boys & Girls), 1152 mentors, 144 referees and an expected 80,000 visitors to the area.
Pictured above are some of the girls and boys teams at the official launch last Tuesday in Dundalk.
