Sean O’Mahonys Club Notes
Our Under 12’s won their County semi-final against a gallant Dundalk Young Ireland’s on Thursday evening in what turned out to be a very exciting game. In a low scoring encounter in which both goalkeepers made some fine saves, aided by some last gap defending and blocking by their respective backlines, which ensured there was no green flags raised even though there was plenty of action in both goalmouths. The O’Mahony’s lads pulled away in the last 10 minutes, upping the tempo and kicking the last 3 points of the game to secure a place in the U12 division 4A County final on Monday week, the 4th, in Darver at 7pm. All 21 players got a game, and all played their part in securing the win that means this group of players are now through to what will be for most, the first of hopefully many finals, that they will play in the green & gold jerseys.
