Sean O’Mahonys Club Notes
The Sean O’Mahony’s senior team continue on the road to defend their Senior County title against Dundalk Gaels on Sunday next, September 10th, at 7pm in Haggartstown, in their quarter final replay, after the sides could not be separated in Dowdallshill 3 weeks ago.
They played table toppers Ardee St Marys on Saturday night, and an understrenght 15 were well beaten by the home team, who were in flying form in the first half, going in at the break with a 11 point lead. That lead went out to 13 point early in the 2nd period, before the county champions got to grips with the game, and reduced the deficit to 6 points by the final whistle.

On Thursday our U14’s were beaten by O’Connells/Stabannon Parnells/John Mitchels on a scoreline of 3-11 to 2-5
On Monday the 4th, our U12’s will play their county final in Darver against Oilibhéar Pluincéad’s at 7pm, hopefully we will have a big crowd there to support our young men.
Our Juniors entertain St Fechins on Tuesday next at 6.45 on the point road.
The Movie night planned for the weekend of the 9th September has been postponed as our senior team play the Gaels in their replay the next day, but it will be rescheduled, and Mamma Mia has been voted as the overwhelming choice to be shown on the big screen.
