The Club would like to thank all who turned out on Friday night for the Sean O’Mahony’s table quiz in Clarkes Bar on Quay Street, especially of course to all involved in organizing the event and to all the sponsors of the prizes. Well to done to the winning team ‘Hill Street Blues’ who scored extremely high considering the questions were tough, and to the ‘The Chancers’ the runner up on the night.

The Sean O’Mahony Junior team had a super win away in Drogheda on Saturday evening, despite only traveling with 16 players to face the O`Raghallaighs. The home side got off to a great start, kicking the first 3 points of the contest, before a goal from David Redmond from wing back helped to kickstart the Dundalk lads. Man of the match, the evergreen Liam Byrne, tormented the Drogheda side’s back line throughout, and when he was dragged down in the parallelogram, Brendan Traynor calmly dispatched the penalty to the back of the net, to add to his two points from play. Shane Kerrigan kept up his fine run of goalscoring going with another green flag raised, as did young Alan Carr, kicking 1-2 from play in a fine performance. Final score, O`Raghallaighs 1-8 SOM 4-9.
