Congratulations to O’Connells GFC, Castlebellingham who where crowned Kevin McGahon Cup Champions after their 1-16 to 2-9 win over Na Piarsaigh-Blackrock. O’Connells trailed by a point (0-4 to 0-5) at Half Time but produced a strong second half display to earn themselves some valuable silverware.

Some Action photos of the action from Shawport Páirc MacDiarmada, thank you to Sean McDermotts for the use of their facilities to stage this final.

After the game, we caught up with O’Connells club chairman and former Louth GAA Development Squad Coach Malcolm McDonnell which is available on our social media channels (Instagram and Facebook). He outlined the importance of the newly formed competition for the development of their senior team and how crucial this may be as they look to build towards championship.
