Louth GAA is pleased to announce the appointment of Gavin Devlin as Senior Football Manager and Peter Dooley as Assistant Manager on a three-year term.

Gavin brings a wealth of experience and leadership to the role, having previously served as Head Coach with the Louth Senior Team from 2021 to 2023. Most recently, he has worked as Louth GAA’s Underage Director of Football, playing a pivotal role in the development of our next generation of talent. Gavin was also a coach with our Minor Footballers in 2025, helping to bring them to a Leinster Final and All-Ireland Quarter Final.

He will be joined on the management team by Peter Dooley, who has been appointed as Assistant Manager. Peter has made a significant impact as a coach with Louth in 2023, 2024, and 2025 — most notably contributing to our historic Leinster success in 2025. The remainder of the backroom team will be confirmed and revealed in due course.

Louth GAA Chairperson Seán McClean said:
“We are delighted to welcome Gavin and Peter into their new leadership roles with the Louth Senior Footballers. Both men bring a wealth of knowledge, experience, and passion for Louth football. Gavin and Peter’ deep understanding of our player pathway and talent in the county give us a great combination for the future. This appointment represents a continued commitment to building on our recent progress and driving Louth forward at all levels. We wish them every success”.

All at Louth GAA extend our full support to Gavin, Peter, and the entire management team as they lead us into this exciting new chapter.
