Louth Senior Football Manager Gavin Devlin has named his matchday squad for the opening game of the National Football League against Offaly at Tullamore on Sunday.

The Squad in full.

Niall McDonnell (30 app) continues between the sticks after being Ger Brennan’s Number one for the past two seasons. The fullback line contains an experienced trio of Emmett Carolan (43 app), Dermot Campbell (52 app) and Peter Lynch (42 app).

25’ Player of the Year Conall McKeever (114 app) starts at right half-back with Joe Ward winning captain Eoghan Callaghan (27 app) returning to the Inter-County scene at 6, while Craig Lennon (44 app) will play at 7.

Eoghan Callaghan returns after 3 years away.

Conor Early (60 app) returns in the middle after a year out and he is partnered by Dara McDonnell (11 app), in the absence of Tommy Durnin.

On the Half forward line, Ciaran Keenan (38 app) comes in on the 40’ while Paul Mathews (41 app) and Daire Nally (22 app) take the wing spots.

It is the same inside forward line as last year’s Leinster Final as the experienced duo of Sam Mulroy (87 app) and Ryan Burns (110 app) are joined by Kieran McArdle (12 app).

Meanwhile on the bench, there are eight of Fergal Reel’s Leinster U20 champions included – Tiernan Markey, Sean Callaghan, Darragh Dorian, Tadhg McDonnell, Cormac McKeown, James Maguire, Pearse Grimes Murphy and Padraic Tinnelly.

James Maguire is one of Reel’s U20 graduates.
