LMFM U18 B Football Championship Final

From The Grove, Castlebellingham

Dreadnots 4-9

St Kevins/Lann Léire 2-9

Dreadnots claimed victory in the 2025 LMFM U18 B Championship after a cracking game with St Kevins/Lann Léire on Sunday afternoon at The Grove, Castlebellingham.

St Kevins/Lann Léire settled the quicker of the sides as Cormac Callan opened the scoring before a brilliant goal from Brendan Cassidy. Jack Ruane landed a 2-pointer before the Clogher’ men started finding their groove. Thomas Levins got a crucial goal as-well as points from Connell Kelly and Dylan Kirwan. Though, accurate Conor Doheny efforts ensured the Philipstown/Dunleer side led at the break. Half Time – Dreadnots 1-3 St Kevins/Lann Léire 1-6.

Connell Kelly had the sides levelled immediately after the break after he held his cool to land a major after a super delivery from Donnacha Skinnader. However, Cian Cunningham responded shortly after with a goal. And when Doheny landed a difficult free to edge the Kevins/Lann Léire in front, it looked like a position of serious strength for them. To their credit, Dreadnots rallied in the closing stages with crucial goals from Kirwan and Colm Hodgins followed by a late Kelly point to see out the championship win. Full Time – Dreadnots 4-9 St Kevins/Lann Léire 2-9.
